VEGAN

Loving Hut

This is the best #veganegg on the market 🙌 The #sunnysideup format is a favourite of mine because prior to going vegan I really enjoyed #shakshuka 🍳 This is a perfect stand in for the dish!

Texture wise, it fries a little better than other #vegansunnysideupegg products I’ve tried and is far less “thick” — far more akin to the real deal. It’s in the taste department however where it simply blows everything else out the waters 🌊 Sure, you’ll know it’s not an actual #egg you’re eating but I don’t think I’ve had #eggyolk as on point before. I’m absolutely obsessed!

They seem to have accomplished this with a mix of mung beans 🫘, carrot 🥕, and a mixture they dub “vegan soy cheese” 🧀 The whites, in spite being otherwise fairly tasteless too have an insane ingredient composition. Talk about #ultraprocessed! 😵 I’ve been getting these at around S$11 from Everyday vegan grocer for the past year or so for a pack of 4. I recommend defrosting and separating the individual “sheets” ahead of time so it’s easier to peel out the next time you use them. I really hope to stock up on these again. They’re absolutely the best! 💯 #veganisnotscary #droptheegg #bestpicks #chickenless

flouredfingers I saw another review on these recently on YouTube and even though they do not look great it was promised they are really good, so I'm excited to find those some day 😍🍳1 likeReply

glutenfreevee Have you seen @pdxveg post (https://www.abillion.com/reviews/65333c48e3e4b22580f56a6e) with the sunny side up egg by Yo Egg? 🍳 It’s only currently available to restaurants in the US, so we can’t yet find them in the markets, but maybe they could reach out to them and bring them there in the near future?1 likeReply
dafnelately Oh wow! I was under the impression that Yo Egg only sold directly to restaurants, kind of like what Hegg Foods does with their #poachedegg 😮 Perhaps we’ll see @everydayvegangrocer pull in more #vegansunnysideupegg some time! 🐣Reply
glutenfreevee Yes, that is the current case. But it’s always worthwhile to let them know there is interest for this in Singapore restaurants and (hopefully) grocers too.Reply
