If I could afford an authentic syrup, I would get that. This one does a good job in baking. I also use it in my tea. But it's basically liquid refined sugar with syrup flavouring so wouldn't recommend it to my fussy vegan friends.
This soup is soooo good! Glad they've put it back on their shelves. They add quite a lot of lentils which is so nice. A comforting soup, great with fresh ciabatta. But, like it says, it is spicy! 🌶️

One of my favourite Earl Grey teas! A good full flavour and goes really well with some syrup/sugar and soya mylk. ☕
I use this everyday in my smoothies. It adds a lovely thick texture and a boost of protein. Great if you are looking to reduce refined sugars. Also, no xylitol so the pup can have some too. A glass container would be preferable. more
This is something I use in every single hot dinner meal! A must-have for every vegan kitchen as it seasons veg very nicely. Appreciate that it notes it is vegan friendly. Just have concerns about the plastic waste--this more
I really enjoy this pasta. It can be quite precise regarding the cooking method though (yes, cooking pasta is hard for some of us). When I get it right, the penne is good but I wouldn't mind it a bit bigger. 🍝
These oats are not gluten free. They work well for baking. But unfortunately, too many times my partner and I have felt sick after eating boiled Jungle oats. The gluten adds a floppy thick texture which doesn't go down well. more
If you're too lazy like me, these tinned kidney beans could do the trick. I prefer the organic version (even though it costs more) because these beans tend to stick together and the brine is almost always too thick. This more
If you're going to go for tinned chickpeas, Woolworths have never let me down. The brine isn't thick and while is like the chickpeas to be bigger, they are always bright and as fresh as tinned food gets. Price is high (+/-R20) more
Excellent coconut cream! Works so well in cooking. Baking may not work out as the cream does not separate and harden. A really smooth texture and given that I use it for a few meals, it's worth the price (roughly R30)🌴
