I would definitely purchase this again.
I cooked this long and slow as advised with mushroom, onion, tomato purée, olive oil, garlic and some additional spices.
I also added some sweet corn.
I used this as a Bolognese dressing for spaghetti, seasoned with nooch and accompanied with a salad garnish.
The jackfruit was succulent with a great texture and it absorbed many flavours.
My partner enjoyed it too.
The price was great and the can was full.

I'm not a #jackfruit expert but this was pretty decent! Shredded easily to make a pulled pork style dinner. There was a lot in the tin and it was a good price - £1.60. I added so much flavour to it but it was still pretty bland so it would probably be best cooked left to soak up flavours over a long time, as it suggests.

It’s hard to review a product like this without commenting on how it influenced the final recipe. I decided to make a sticky stir fry with the jackfruit by adding soy sauce, maple syrup, spices and veggies. I recommend marinating the jackfruit beforehand as the taste is quite bland but the texture is good. Jackfruit is a pretty decent sponge to soak up flavours. #huntsabs
Great to see supermarkets selling jackfruit. Reasonably priced and great when you add some seasoning to it. I used this to make a kebab filling.
