I came across this nikuman at Natural Lawson. The buns stood out for their perfect balance of sweetness and fluffiness—absolutely delicious!
The place was already packed by 11am when they opened, so I’d recommend booking a table in advance just to be safe. The gumbo was so good, I’d love to try recreating it at home if I ever can…
I’d always wanted to try waffles with some fried ‘chicken,’ and I’m so glad I found this place. Surprisingly, they only have an English menu, and most of the staff aren’t native Japanese, so it felt like I’d stepped out more
This cafe, Shochikuen is well-known for its vegan rainbow cakes and buns stuffed with savory fillings.
Unfortunately, their cookie recipe was stolen by another Japanese company that placed a large order and then canceled more
This tasted just like a non-vegan egg muffin, and some even compared it to McDonald’s. I’d love to try it again when I’m back in the area, but I’ll probably be tempted to explore other burger options!
I absolutely loved this snack! It was delicious and affordable. My new friend mentioned she’s been buying this line of snacks for a while, and now I totally get why.

One of the cafés inside Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul sold this vegan lemonade. It was pricey, but totally worth it! It’s great to see touristy spots offering vegan-labeled drinks so casually.

I’ve never had künefe before so I’m glad I was able to try it out. TBH, I found it too sweet, tho. My Turkish friend said that it tasted similar to the non-vegan version. The shop owner showed us how to make künefe in details more
I bought this on my way home because the packaging was so pretty, and I'm glad I did. It’s not the best kombucha I’ve had in Türkiye so far, but it was good—especially compared to the kombucha sold in Japan. 😅😂
