Aside from Isa Chandra’s recipe for homemade vegan mayonnaise - which is the best - this is a good store-bought option.
I like the flavour of this fake-in and it does the trick in a BLT, but it could be juicier...
This tofu is agreeably priced and the consistency is adaptable for many uses. We fry it, puff it, bake and grill it. Some plain tofus are depressingly bland but this has pep.
This is nice stuff - we eat it on sandwiches and it’s got a nice smoky flavour. I haven’t had the heart to look at the ingredients list... I hope it’s not full of bad stuff...
Very nice and creamy with a tangy taste. Sugar is high up on the ingredients list though, which is a shame.
The pasta from this Italian company is indiscernibly gluten-free as well as vegan. Not heavy and great with loads of cashew cream-based sauces or red sauces.
This is a natural substitute for msg made of mushrooms. It’s great in soups, sauces, reductions and anything that wants a little umami kick. Very handy for making vegan pho broths more robust.
This is crazy delicious. Robust ice cream, smooth chocolate and a slight hint of caramel.
My favourite vegan butter substitute so far. Very creamy and doesn’t separate.
This is one of the best vegan and gluten free pre-packaged chocolate desserts I’ve had. Light and fluffy but still rich. A little goes a long way, and it doesn’t taste too much of coconut, which is often the case with these things.
