Review of Ayam Penyet at Warung Ijo by xinru-t
Smashed fried chicken made using lion’s mane mushroom that was tender yet had a fibrous meaty texture. Always love dishes made using whole foods instead of meat substitutes, especially given the cognitive benefits of lion's mane mushrooms. Not my first time eating this but still just as impressed by the seasoning and crispy batter, which were so on-point even without the use of alliums! Not too oily either. My non-veg mum who likes ayam penyet enjoyed this as much as the real deal. Served with chilli sauce. (Allium-free, $13.90) #sgvegan #womenowned
