Review of Smoky jack pulled pork - jack & annie's by smartassvegan
Made from jackfruit (which I have tried before but previously didn't like) these flavorful chunks and shreds have a very tasty smoky barbecue flavoring and smell to them as well as a good chewy texture. I found that to sautee this jackfruit product in a pan properly it helps to cut down/ shred into smaller pieces some of the larger chunks in the package. We made tacos filled with this jackfruit pork substitute, taco veggies and added barbecue sauce instead of salsa or taco sauce and the results were delicious.
