VEGAN

Genexa

Spring Allergy Season has arrived! The pollens here take down just about everyone! (That and the lockdown house dust!) I don’t like to take medications unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Unfortunately, I can’t get away with ditching the occasional antihistamine this time of year. There are so many sneaky non vegan & awful ingredients in most of the medications out there! I find that the homeopathic route is often hard to sustain-It (usually) requires massive doses and is hard on the wallet. I think this product might be the answer for combating a severe allergy meltdown. The company was founded by two dads. VERY Clean Inactive Ingredients-Non GMO-Certified Vegan (and Gluten-free.) The active ingredient (Diphenhydramine HCL) makes me s-l-e-e-p-y when I’ve taken it in pill form but this product doesn’t seem to hit me the same way. I can’t say this is 100% cruelty free because of the active ingredient which really troubles me. This company does state that they source responsibly. I’m using this for those emergency downright debilitating flare ups that sometimes hit. The agave syrup is nice but there’s no hiding the taste of the medicine folks! It’s pretty awful and lingers on the tongue for a LONG time. It ruins the experience of anything you eat or drink afterwards (but so does uncontrollable sneezing!) Not the ‘best’ choice but certainly a ‘better’ choice! Points for the sneezing giraffe on the box.
