The vegan option has a spinach and walnut filling. I found it dry, but the taste interesting... The spinach and walnut make a good combination. I ended up buying some of the tahini dip to take away and dipped the fatayer into that... Hummus would have been better.

Such a quaint and welcoming bakery. The owner was so friendly and so passionate about his food it was a pleasure to chat to him about the menu and help us choose. The bread is always fresh baked that day. He even gave us samples of the zatar. The meal was so tasty, warm and authentic. Loved the entire experience!

I just wrote my review and saw this one of yours. Basically spot on my impression, I felt something was required to temper or balance the taste, either onions or gaelic/chilli etc

Completely personal taste. I didn't enjoy the cumulative sourness of the sun-dried tomatoes and olives. However if you like those together then it's the go to. Other than that the pizza was great, cheese was creamy and yum

Aweh - Vegan Cheese

Loved it! I swopped out the butternut and feta for mushroom and pineapple. Went really well with the artichokes, spinach, onion and peppers. The vegan cheese and is creamy and has a great taste. Amazing!

Amazing sausage! The texture is great, flavour is tasty, they even have a thin casing around the sausage to resemble a meat casing. Nutrition wise it's great, a good balance of carbs, fat and definitely protein. Love it!

Plant Based Burger Patties

This is flippen amazing! Nutrition wise it's very high in fat which isn't great, and 10 grams of protein which is slightly low compared to competitors. BUT holy wow is it tasty and amazing value for money.
It tastes almost identical to the beyond burger (in my opinion) and comes at a fraction of the price. Personally tastes too rich and fatty for including in my general diet, but will definitely be stocking up on a few for the social braais and special occasions.
Could not recommend it enough!

Lekker Vegan Kyalami On Main

Lekker vegan is always a huge hit. This is their new branch in Kyalami, Johannesburg. The staff behind the didn't understand what gluten was, and the vibe was very disappointing compared to the CT branches. 

The burger was decent, and tasted good. Bun is soft and tasty, sauces match great! 
Unfortunately not as big a serving as CT branch either. 

It was great and nostalgic to try out, but if I want the Lekker Vegan experience I'll have to save up to go to Cape Town.

Was a very filling, heart, and warm dish. Was tasty and satisfying, the portion is very large, two meals for me.

These are SSOOOO YUMMMYYY, such an absolute treat, I love them! 
Having said that I would NOT buy them again, the price point is just too ridiculous.
