On a journey to becoming more plant-based. "Eat food, mostly plants, not too much" "It's important to be nice."
A filling working #lunch! The highlight of the dish was the creamy plant-based curry. #teamcreamy
The rest of the accompanying veggies - chopped long beans, cabbage, Kai lan - were simply prepared, not cooked to mush, more
Holy moly guacamole 🥑! Tastes a little different, with a nice citrusy taste. It's a filling, Mexican themed bowl with Beyond Meat stew. Something I would go back for, but not out of the way for.
Pleasantly surprised that the broth for steaming the tofu was salty-sour from the tomatoes and the kiam chye. Tasty.
But why did they have to chop the tofu up into small cubes? Looks cheap, for something that's rather pricey. more
It was alright - I could kindof taste the coconut in it, and it tasted quite far from freshly squeezed coconut cream.
Maybe I'm being too picky and expecting way too much. But it does say creamy coconut on the bottle. more
I wanted to fill my tummy, so I went for the 2 main and 2 protein version for around $16. Fried tofu, vegan gangstas and various other veggies. Love how every item is individually tasty, and it all comes together so well. more
Loved it. Very impressed with the taste: spicy, sour but not overpoweringly so. The faux 'egg' cake with vermicelli looked and tasted as good, no, better than the original. Would come back again for this dish.
Mushrooms were cooked with ginger, a delight. The rest of the noodle dish was as expected, though the soup was too sweet and salty.
I had high hopes for this one. Had all the makings of a wonderful combination. Soba noodles, mushrooms, avocado ... But the noodles were overcooked, the mock meat tasted a little too oriental to go with the Japanese theme, more
WOW! Another hit by SLHVC. This is how you cook basmati rice - are you taking notes Genius Central? Basmati makes nasi lemak elegant, exquisite, elevated. The mushroom rendang was spectacular. Soft, tender, coconuty, great more
Bitter. Bland. Why use basmati rice if it's going to be boiled into a slop anyway. Best thing about the dish was the mint plant based yoghurt dip on the side. Tzatziki. I'm struggling to think what on earth the chef was more
