What happened at the sanctuary Cuori Liberi on September 20th, 2023 must never happen again. Extreme violence has been used against the peace loving people and the most innocent helpless creatures. It's a sad day many will never forget and the names of 9 sweet souls who were brutally killed will forever be remembered: Pumba, Bartolomeo, Crosta, Ursula, Mercoledi, Dorothy, Carolina, Spino and Crusca.

The fight for justice is only the beginning. On the 7th of October there were 10 000 people marching and protesting on the streets of Milano ( Italy ). It warmed my heart seeing so many walking for justice. Giving their voice to the most vulnerable and remembering 9 innocent beings whose lives were cut short only because they belonged to the wrong species.

These 9 piggies were someone's family. People who cared for them gave them a second chance and promised them a life of love and kindness. They couldn't keep their promise cause they were violated in their own home, on their own property. Beaten up by the police, a blind force without a heart or conscience.

This can't just be forgotten cause tomorrow it can happen to you and your family in your home, for whatever reason. Our world can be better but we need to make it better. Not only for humans but for all sentient beings. It's time to stop pretending this madness we live in is normal. It's not.

animalsvoices I'm so terribly sorry for their losses and for the brutality the authorities and the police used to kill them. But I'm also so sad and concerned for the 30,000 innocent souls who didn't have a home, a loving family and a chance to have a better life. My heart is aching for all of them.
