This vegan pub in London was a real surprise.
All waitress are very welcoming and so nice to explain all the dishes on the menu (which to be fair could be more explicative in terms of ingredients and description).

Delicious.
These chick'n tights are unbelievable.
The taste and the smell while cooking are perfect.
The texture is also pretty amazing:

The Grower’s Harvest

To continue the series called "Lazy lunch"...

Scrumbled tofu fried with rice, accompanied by a coleslaw which is a leftover from yesterday when my partner wasn't lazy and made a mayonnaise out of this very basic soya milk!

Title of the series: "Vegans only eat salad"
I introduce to you: #risotto with #asparagus!
Instructions:
- start a desperate hunt for actually tasty asparagus growing not from the other part of the world
- pretend to make more

helena12345 I’m confused about the origin of asparagus
The whole west side of Europe is currently filled with asparagus because it’s in season 😅😅 It’s literally everywhere here in Belgium & Germany
Does Europe doesn’t ship asparagus to UK anymore?
Looks good! 😋😋2 likesReply
veganty I haven't found any from Europe so far, either they come from far away or you can find the British one. These were British, and not totally tasteless but not comparable to the one I used to eat in Italy...you are right, this is the season in western Europe but in here they don't have this concept, so you will find the same fruits an veggies al year (to be honest it's a trend in other countries as well especially in big supermarkets) 2 likesReply

Hi #abillioncommunity I need your help:
Does anyone know what is this vegetable and how to eat it? The Indian shop in my neighbourhood was giving these away to be saved and I don't know why partner decided to bring one home... Now what?

lizmaselli My bfs Taiwanese mom made it for me. I wasn't a fan. 🤣😵 we joke about it now. And in fact laughing about it now!3 likesReply
lizmaselli This gives me horrible flashbacks🤣 Greg's mom made me bitter melon when I had an acne breakout, because she says it cools the body down? All I know is I had to choke it down. It was plain, slimy and I love her, but no.🤣 I'm sure it can be prepared in better ways. She just steamed it, I think.4 likesReply
veganty Ahahah thanks for sharing, I was afraid that it could be weird in texture and taste and you confirmed it! 😅 But did you eat it raw? 3 likesReply

I found this at Tesco (UK) in the fridge described as "Plant based products".
I was so excited to try these #salami that look like the ones I used to eat when I travelled in northern Europe as a non-vegan.
So I bought them, more

This seems to indicate "plant-based" generally does not mean vegan. Which is why many companies use that term, I guess. 😕

It is worth raising with Tesco. If they realise it is confusing to their customers, I hope they would consider changing the label.

This article is old but maybe still helpful:

We must say that marketing people working for this vegan French brand are genius. The storytelling, the packaging, the irony or the language, the fact that you can build a pig from the carton. Love it all.
