Review of Apple Turn Up Açai Bowl ~ Veganised at Playa Bowls by alexanicole
i hate to be *that* person but every time i go to playa bowls, it makes me remember why i don’t like going to restaurants that aren’t fully vegan ~ overall, i thought this Apple Turn Up Açai Bowl was really pretty yummy, with all sorts of apples to embrace the fall apple season (apple butter & sliced apples), but i’m honestly not sure if it was worth the headache of navigating the ingredients (with minimal help)… the açaí is great in all its frozen fruit glory & the sliced banana / apple + apple butter are wonderful too but the blueberry flax granola that’s supposed to come on top apparently has honey so i subbed for the pumpkin flax granola (which apparently doesn’t). also i checked that the peanuts were only salted and not honey roasted but i honestly don’t think i’ll be going back anytime soon ~ with a little effort (& way less hassle), i could make a similar bowl at home & feel way better about what’s going in it & who i’m giving my money to… 🍎🍌🍏 #tryharder #savethebees 🐝
