After 20 years of keeping the Sanctuary alive, I was hoping we would have a modicum of financial stability by now.
Not so. We are running from week to week, month to month to keep our animals fed, vetted and warm.

Witnessing outside Molares Porkpackers abattoir - they still use the outdated method of slaughter, CO2 gas. We witness the trucks, the screams and the smell of burning flesh as they strip the hair off the pigs.

Jeffrey has to eat standing up. He has an enlarged oesophagus that just throws food out if he eats off the ground. Huge shout out to Shelley Daryl Drynan for never giving up on this sweet boy.

No vegan dish on the menu but side dish of roasted veges was very tasty.
Lovely with vegan chocolate cake, a little runny but tasted perfect.
The crisp crunchiness makes up for the lack of taste - the crunch was just so satisfying!
