Poké Perfect

I usually discard the seaweedy- stuff from #pokebowls but this one was delicious! Perfectly balanced soury pickled veggies, crispiness, spicy and flavorful tempeh... The amount of sauce was also spot on! Only took one picture because I couldn't wait to dig in.

Still dreaming about this dessert! The toffee sauce was very sweet, but well balanced with the coconut cream, bananas and the raspberries. We also had crispy mushrooms and the vegan nachos there, but forgot to take a picture. It's a chain of restaurants so if you're looking for #veganlondon , definitely check it out!

Krokante Schnitzel

Not the crispiest schnitzel out there, even though I fried it. If not mistaken, Vivera has a similar vegan option where the coating is corn flakes, and those are definitely crispier. Taste- and price-wise it's good though. Great amount of #protein , but too much salt and little fiber per piece - and they even advertise the fiber on the packaging.

Huge Meh. I expected a lot more from this given the price - regular price is 3,00 for 70gr bar. It's not creamy, mylky at all. It says organic, fine, but I have no idea how do they rack up the price so much compared to other ethical brands that also have vegan choco bars.

Hawaii Curry Salad

Definitely not bad, a bit on the thicker side with a lot of chunks in it. I have tried the same type of spread/salad from the Albert Heijn own brand, and I do prefer that one. This is almost 3 euro as well, but I'd suggest if you like these curry salads with pineapple, see which one you like the most. Great option for your #lunchtime in the office.

Tunisian Shakshuka spice mix

Premixed Shakshuka mix from @fairtrade - it comes in a small plastic bag, and all you need to do is add some tomatoes and veggies. Made it following their recipe, with aubergine and paprika, but I added a block of tofu on top and it turned out amazing! With a tiny sprinkle of kala namak, the tofu is a great substitute for the eggs that normally go in the Shakshuka.

Truffel Mayo

Overpriced #veganmayo from Mayoneur. The truffle taste is subtle and not too overpowering, and this is where the positives end. For a 250ml bottle I paid around 2,30 or so, the bottle squeezes the tiniest amount and that only makes it suitable for decorating dishes. It's very very thick, and my overall feeling is "artificial mayo" - super white, overly thick, no tanginess at all. You can't even take everything out of the bottle unless you cut it and scoop it out.

Vegan Pittige tofu reepjes

I expected a bit more flavor out of those. Not bad, just insufficient for me. Texture was good, nice and spongy and they crisped up well. It's good for those "in a hurry" dinners where you still want a homemade meal but you don't have much time.

I finally decided to do the fried #veganfish with #bananablossom that I've watched 1000 times on YouTube. Unfortunately, the blossoms were just small chunks and not whole pieces. Ended up making fishy fritters with chickpea flour, nori flakes, mixed spices for fish, and they turned out surprisingly good. Did a batch in the oven too, but the fried ones were definitely better.

My exploration with #toogoodtogo continues. This time with assorted mushrooms. It was overall pricey (14,99 for the box) but still cheaper than buying all this in the supermarket. I got king oyster mushrooms, enoki, brown and white shimeji mushrooms, a box of small shiitakes, and a box of chantarelles. The chantarelles alone normally cost around 3-4 euro per 100 gr, and I got around 200gr so I'm quite happy #nofoodwaste
