after my last Kauai review, I didn’t think that I would support them anytime soon. But I was in the middle of a mall with little options and I saw that their winter menu had new plant based options.

I was not disappointed this time, the falafel and avo wrap has my vegan heart now. I asked them to remove the red peppers (nightshade intolerance) but the falafels had a great flavour, as well as the nut sauce, rocket leaves and cucumber 😍 I hope this wrap will stay after winter, as the vegan options have always been scarce.

Got this at a huge discount at Checkers, and never tried this before, but I’m so glad I came across this! My hair feels “lighter” and is shining (in such a healthy way). 🥑

wow, I’ve visited The Gallery Café in Hermanus a few times already, but get surprised every time I’m there! We ordered the Middle Eastern Platter & was not dissapointed - was super filling and loved that there was something for both of us! ♥️

Lemon verbena Body Wash

Okay, time for a POSITIVE review 😜 we have been loving this body wash! 🍋 the scent is ah-ma-zing, and makes you feel super fresh (great after a good sweaty session) 🛁 

I do miss the super foaminess of products with SLS though, but know that this way is better! I also LOVE knowing that it wasn’t tested on animals 🐇

hmmm, not so sure if I will go out of my way to get this burger again... it was really plain and lacked ‘depth’ - just an ordinary burger that tasted like it was made at home. Would give this a 3.5/5 just because it is 100% vegan and a no nonsense burger 🍔

These burgers look, sizzle, and taste like ground beef burgers, and they’re sure to impress any meat-lover plus they’ve got a whopping 20g of protein per patty.

The Big Fry Burger

I’ve probably had this patty for the past 6 burger nights at home 😍 such a winner! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants a vegan patty that doesn’t taste like cardboard (or looks too much like meat) 🙈

Gluten Free & Vegan Flapjacks

A stack of three flapjacks topped with almond nut butter, banana + maple-flavoured syrup. All this for R65 wasn’t a bad deal at all! These were so filling, I ended up only finishing two flapjacks & took the other home. My only wish for this meal? More banana 🍌

was such a treat to be able to eat at The Conscious Kitchen again today! I had the rainbow summer bowls today & was able to take half home for a snack! I’m not such a fan of miso flavours, but the sauce complimented the dish very well! 🌈

for some reason I can’t recall ever trying these & boy am I excited to ALWAYS have these in my freezer from now on, they taste really similar to boerewors! 🌭 and they’re palm oil free 🤩
