Betty Crocker

With a flavour like “buttercream”, you can’t be blamed for thinking it’s not vegan. But you would be surprised it is. I have no idea how Betty Crocker does it, but I’m not complaining. The taste of this frosting is absolutely wonderful. It’s sweet, very sweet! And it tastes like butter and cream. This is another fine example of an every day food product that is consumed by everyone and is quietly vegan. It just goes to show that you don’t need dairy and eggs in frosting.
I recently baked a carrot flavoured cake (also a vegan Betty Crocker product) and added this frosting on top. Between the combination of the carrot cake, the pumpkin spice spread mixed into it, the chocolate chips and walnut pieces I sprinkled on top and this buttercream frosting, I had a fantastic dessert for a few days. It only lasted a few days; it probably should’ve lasted much longer.

Because it’s a decadent treat, I buy frosting and cake mix only when they’re on sale for a reasonable price. It also helps me keep my boyish figure. 😜 I purchased the frosting at No Frills.
