Review of Seasoned Corn Ribs - Trader Joe's by beckyyy

I recall seeing the corn rib trend go around but it didn’t really seem worth the effort when corn on the cob itself is so good. When I found these pre-cut and “seasoned” corn ribs at Trader Joe’s I thought it would be fun to give the novelty a try.

These corn ribs are in the frozen section. They are cut sections attached to a portion of the cob, completely slathered in vegan butter. Though the package says “seasoned” the only seasoning is salt - so that was a little misleading in my opinion.

These cooked up in 12 minutes in a pre-heated oven. They came out slightly browned and in a pool of the melted butter.
We added additional seasonings.

Were they good? Of course, it’s 🌽!!!

Corn and vegan butter is a delicious match so these are delicious paired with your favorite seasonings. They were fun to eat, albeit quite messy.

These are definitely a novelty and one could get more food for their $ by purchasing corn on it’s own but it was fun to try and I’m glad they used vegan butter! Not only does this allow vegans to try it BUT I’m sure some non-vegans may try it too and perhaps realize there’s not much of a difference. (I know butter and milk are not much of a fight these days but we have to work our way up to cheese hahaha)
