RECIPE:
2 big cubes tau kwa(beancurd) mashed add salt
Mushrooms finely chopped (Shimeji and/or oyster mushrooms)
Shredded seaweed
Batter (mix)
40g topioca starch
15g all purpose flour
15g sweet potato starch
1 tablespoon soy sauce / veg fish sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper
150ml water
1. Mix all the batter ingredients.
2. Add oil to frying pan. Add mashed tau kwa and mushroom and some soy sauce. Fry for awhile.
3. Add more oil then pour in batter. Add shredded seaweeds. Let it cook till crispy on one side. Then flip over and continue to cook till crispy.
4. Transfer to plate, garnish with cilantro.
5. Chilli sauce can use sambal oelek or blend your own. Add rice vinegar.
