VEGAN

Alnatura

I made vegan cheese fondue with this nutritional yeast the other day 🧀 🫕 These are organic and made in Germany from molasses yeast, rice flour 🌾 and sea salt. #organic
This time I’ll post the recipe here directly ha:
3/4 cup white wine 🍷
3/4 cup nutritional yeast (more for taste)
1/2 cup vegetable broth
3/4 cup unsweetend almond or soy milk 🥛
1 tablespoon white miso paste
1 clove of garlic, minced 🧄
1-2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon tahini
1 pinch pepper
1 pinch salt
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch turmeric for color
4 tablespoons flour

Stir everything but the flour together and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir in flour and wait until it thickens. Too thick? Add plant milk 🥛 Too thin? Add flour!
It’s best to transfer the mixture to a real fondue pot 🫕 - a so-called caquelon, as it keeps the cheese sauce hot. (Of course you can also eat it straight from the pot you cooked it in but you might have to be quick lol) #veganuary

simhazel Haha, doesn't sound like a bad problem 😅 How many does it serve? I've not made a cheese fondue but wherever I make a cheese-like sauce and have leftovers I always keep it and just add it to my other dishes after 1 likeReply
david- Since I made it on the night where we also had Raclette this was easily enough for 6 people. When it’s only the fondue I’d guess like 4 people probably :D 1 likeReply

david- For this recipe I think it’s essential yes. But there are other recipes without it available online. I’m in Germany 🇩🇪 as well and get Miso paste from the Asian section at either REWE or Edeka or and Asian store like GoAsia 😋1 likeReply
