Review of Falafel Salad at Roti Modern Mediterranean by georginakreutzer

Alright - I travelled to Chicago (just in time before Covid!) to visit US family and had surrendered to the expectation I'd be living on fries for the duration of the trip. After exploring downtown for a day we stumbled across Rōti, and THANK THE LORD because this was the most loaded, delish, complex salad bowl I did NOT expect to find in the land of deep dish pizza and, well, American food generally.
You know how it is.
The deal here is a lot like Subway - basically a fully customisable salad bowl, so of course I asked for falafels (crunchy, tasty, perfect) and E V E R Y T H I N G green and colourful that didn't once have a face. And a couple of spicy sauces + hummus. It was too easy to be vegan here.
So, so, delicious and filling. Thank you Rōti, thank you Chicago, and thank you for forgiving my low expectations. I'm sorrrrryyyyyy. X x x
