Unsalted Buttery Sticks

These are amazing! Really great for baking which is what I use them for like sugar cookies or pastry dough. Love the fact that it's unsalted.

I bought these Earth balance buttery sticks, because I was looking for unsalted butter. Earth balance is good because it's easy to find in most stores, but I feel like it tastes more like margarine than butter. The other issue with this product and the reason I won't be buying it, is that it contains palm oil.

Earth Balance makes it so easy to veganize recipes, like the one I followed to make these Linzer cookies. #baking with spread from a tub can be pretty unwieldy, so unsalted sticks with measurement markings felt like the answer to my prayers! I wish they didn’t contain palm oil, though. I thought the dough was slightly stickier and less stiff than the dairy butter version of my memory, but all was well with some extra refrigeration time, and the finished cookies came out great: short, with a lovely snap. Earth Balance isn’t the cheapest, but I won’t quibble about it; in my view, for special occasion bakes, the quality entirely justifies the expense!

I love using these unsalted stick for baking. They are perfect for baking cookies and cakes etc. They have good flavor.
