The Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary Ōtaki

Meet Bowie! This is our tiniest rooster who hatched with a scissor beak. With extra food and care he is thriving and full of personality.

The Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary Ōtaki cares for over 200 rescued animals like Bowie in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our focus is on rehabilitating and rehoming ex-farm animals, many of whom have special needs. We promote animal rights and collective liberation. The Black Sheep is run by the Animal Protection Society, a registered charity that relies on community support as well as our fundraising opshops to continue our work. All funds donated will go towards the best quality animal care and feed we can provide.
