A sandwich for the rudies. Every aspect of this dish was perfection, Cornmeal battered and fried oyster/hiratake mushrooms and salad with a spicy dressing in bread. I’m still dreaming about this sandwich, the flavours and all, just too beautiful. That skankin’ pickled okra was amazing too! And the plantain chips and coleslaw were so good as well. Top marks all round. A huge portion too, most welcome after a bicycle ride. Top marks for this. I cannot recommend this enough. Rudie can’t fail, no no!!

My brother told me about this place, with a delicious fully-vegan Carribean menu and great vibes. They are a top-rated vegan restaurant in the city, and it’s clear why. Amazing food, good music. The rest of the menu looks amazing as well. I wish i had learnt about this place sooner, and had more chance to try their other food. The place sits close to Markfield park, therefore a great place to stop for some good vegan food while cycling/running/boating along the River Lea.
Safiya, the amazing chef behind this menu, also runs Sisterwomen vegan, a social enterprise.
As i understand, Saf is leaving Moko soon. Excited for what comes next for Saf, Sisterwomen, and for Moko. There’s still a wee bit of time to try the food here, but don’t wait too long.
Printed menu in English. ramp at entrance, ample racks for bicycle parking. Gender neutral bathrooms.
