Review of Thosai Bawang at Nasi Kandar Line Clear by stevenneoh

Line Clear is on the tourist trail for nasi kandar for sure, but I've always felt it's rather overrated. Try Sharif in Gelugor, I would often suggest. Not suggesting that here or now obviously, as nothing in nasi kandar is really vegan-friendly 😥 What they do have that is vegan is #thosai. Just be really clear that you don't want any of their meat curries (or dhal if the daily dhal is a butter one), and you should be good to go 🙂 Penang is a stingy old place so you don't get ghee unless you pay the extra for it; cheap vegetable oil it is ☺️ I had mine with #onion in the middle 😋

This is their branch at the airport rather than the OG one in George Town. The girlfriend said that their nasi kandar and (omni) fried chicken were really not up to par; I'd say the same for their thosai, but perhaps the gap wasn't so big 🤷‍♂️
