Another visit to this classic #indian restaurant specialising in #dosa and #poori dishes.
Usually, I have the delicious #plaindosa but yesterday, branched out and chose the spectacular #paperdosa
It’s a work of art, thin, crispy and presented in the shape of a fan. The 4 stainless steel bowls that accompany it are filled with #sambar savoury sauce, #coconutchutney #tomatochutney and a warming, satisfying #mashedpotato
It’s a wonderful tactile food, where you tear off pieces of dosa to dip into the sauces.
Good value at £11
Dosa batter is made from rice flour and contains folic acid. We need folic acid because it: maintains a healthy nervous system, works with vitamin B12 to form healthy red blood cells which carry oxygen around the body, helps break down, use and create proteins.
I hope this business continues to flourish. It’s on one of the last streets standing close to Euston Station in London, on the edge of the monster and many say monstrous railway development called HS2.
Drummond Street is a bustling low rise terrace of shops and residences with a thriving trade in South Asian groceries, sweets and restaurants. Long may it run.
