Review of vegan pide at Cappadocia Restaurant - Epsom by nickyv

The owner welcomed us to this Turkish restaurant that opened its doors in Epsom High Street just 4 months ago. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The waiting staff are very friendly and will bring cushions, blankets, water with speed! The menu features six vegan options (including two vegetarian ones which they will readily veganize). Having enjoyed the vegan platter last time, we ventured into the vegan pide, pide being Turkish pizza. Fresh baby leaf spinach was steamed lightly on top of melted vegan cheese with mushroom, garlic, pepper and fresh herbs. Rocket and tomato garnished the dish. I was white transported back to a time when I visited Turkey often and although the Mediterranean wasn't quite lapping at my feet, the flavours were definitely taking over the rest of my senses.
