It has great nutritional value including loads of iron and fibre. Also it can grow on degraded land, thus replenishing soil with nitrogen and restoring it. The milk contains wholesome and minimal ingredients such as Bambara groundnuts, coconut oil, shea butter, and is enriched with calcium and Vitamins D2 and V12.
It has a strong, earthy and vegetal taste. I quite like it on its own. With coffee however, I find the tastes don't blend so smoothly as oat, almond or hazelnut mylks. I find it tastes better in hot cacao though! The cacao flavour is more dominant. Also heating it up seems to take away the raw vegetal taste and gives it a lovely thick creamy texture.
