Now that we are still in summer is very important to take care of your skin.

-This sunscreen is easy to apply
-The smell is between vanilla and coconut but subtle which is great (I don’t like the smelly products)
-Sun protection factor is 50 (which is great)

Now that I am in the bike everyday 🚴 I love it

A quick #nerdyfact about sunscreens 🧴 last time in Mexico I visited a dermatologist and I read a poster he had in his consulting room because 🤓 nerdy what can I do 😜
- the thing is that sun creams/oils/sprays protectors are divided in 3 big categories :

— chemical — these ones create a barrier to absorb UV rays

— mineral — these ones create a barrier to reflect and scatter UV rays

— combined — both characteristics in one.

The dermatologist told me is always necessary to add a sun protector and repeat the process every 3-4 h so don’t forget it!
most of them in the actual market are combined so no worries 😉 if you are using a sunscreen is almost sure you are protected.

However this specific one is a chemical one — meaning that the 4 active ingredients act as absorbents.

veganadam Another nerdyfact is that some sunscreen chemicals can harm marine life. Once it washes off our skin and enters the waterways, the chemicals can impair growth of green algae, induce bleaching in coral and decrease fertility/reproduction in fish. Some of the bad chemicals are oxybenzone, benzophenone-1 and octinoxate3 likesReply
abi88  Totally! The “good” part is that now more eco friendly companies are using replacements for these bad absorbent filters. 2 likesReply
