Review of Ethiopian Feast at Little Ethiopia Eatery by pdxveg
This featured a large selection of flavorful, nourishing, and satisfying dishes. There was plenty of protein and also numerous phytonutrients from all the rainbow colors.
It consisted of (clockwise starting from upper left):
Key Sir – beets, onions, oil, and salt. The naturally sweet beets complemented the spicier dishes wonderfully.
Shiro Wot – split peas flour, tomato sauce, spices, and vegan butter. Full of protein with a nice spicy kick.
Vegan Tibs – traditionally made from meat, but these are made with soy and wheat gluten. This 🌱 -based version still has plenty of protein and is very flavorful without harming any animals.
Tekil Gomen – cabbage, carrots, and mild spices
Green Beans
Gomen Wot – green collards, tomatoes, onions, oil, and salt
Broccoli
Salad with Avocado (left center)
Rice with Veggies (right center) – this had a pleasing creamy consistency that reminded us of risotto.
