If (a big if) I got it right, these are the dehydrated version of the bean curd sheet a few posts ago. They might look weird and intimidating to a first-timer, but are actually easy to use.
All you need to do is to soak them in water (room temperature or warm, but not hot, or you’ll cook them). And depending on how long it’s in water, the texture will change, from firm and a bit chewy/meaty to soft (like in the bottom of the picture).
Because of this flexibility in texture, they’re versatile for any kind of dish. From stir fry, to braising, to steaming, to soup. They’re also easier to store than some other tofu products, no fridge needed✌🏼
