Review of Braised Rice with Red Quinoa and Truffle at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant by plantbasedlifestyle
This is the main dish of their new vegetarian set menu. Personally, I enjoyed this the most out of all! It seems that they fried the rice and quinoa with some vegetables and then braised it in a claypot as their is a wok-hey flavour. They added some black truffle mushrooms on top as well to enhance the taste and visual (and nutrition of course!). This dish was made to perfection in my opinion as the texture of the grains was just nice. The truffle was not overpowering the braising sauce too which balanced the entire dish very well! Would love to order this again if they do include it as a permanent ala-carte item in their menu! #veganisnotscary
