Review of Period pants - Hey Girls by heatherlouise

These are the Hey Girls black high waisted high absorbancey period pants with lace side panels. (It was hard to get a good picture of them). This style retail for £16.95 on the website but there are various styles with different absorbancey.

I only rated them 3 stars because I personally find them quite bulky and much prefer menstrual cups as I detailed in my last review. They also have a shiny texture, almost like swimwear, which isn't too bad but I expected them to be cotton. The actual pad bit is made of a soft cotton material (I've taken a picture of the inside in the third pic) and is quite thick. Having said this, they are comfy for bed or lounging around the house in, I just don't think I could personally wear them outside without feeling a bit like I have a nappy on. They hold 4-5 tampons worth of blood, are true to size and easy to use so are good for people with limited mobility. If menstrual cups or tampons don't work for you and you like pads then I would suggest giving these a try as a sustainable alternative.
