My first vegan smoothie bowl, sooo excited+delighted! πβ£οΈ
Made this baby with frozen Orchard Gold berries (2 cups) & frozen bananas (4 small ripe ones) as base, 1/2 avocado (chilled), unsweetened coconut milk (6 tbsp), pinch of salt (for balance), dash of cacao nibs AND topped with some lovely tropical fruits π
P.s. the yellow portion looks dreamy 'cos of the gelatinous passionfruit π
USEFUL TIPS:
1) Refrigerate your empty bowl before you start making the recipe.
2) Blend your frozen fruits on low speed, or "pulse" till sorbet-like consistency. Don't blend on high as this creates more heat.
3) Optional: add avocado (healthy fats) for a creamier smoothie bowl.
4) Add pinch of salt to accentuate the variety of flavours present in the bowl - salt is great for balancing flavours.
5) Optional: add cacao nibs for a nice crunch - their slight bitterness also helps balance the overall sweetness and tartness.
Serving: 1 smoothie bowl
