Happy holidays! These are vegan Christmas lights on strings! So beautiful and festive, you could even string them around the home with other holiday decorations.
Taste wise, these are as good as the Cherub grape tomatoes from this company when they are fully red. If there are no other available red-ripe grape tomatoes, I’d suggest you try these out.
I’ve found grape tomatoes to be the perfect salad tomatoes. You can even cut them in half or quarters if you prefer them smaller. When they are ripe, the have a sweetness and firmness that bring a nice contrast of taste and texture to salads. You can also bake or cook them on the stovetop in other dishes, like pastas and as a garnish for soups.
Nutritionally, 85g worth of these tomatoes has 25 calories from 5g of carbs and 1g of protein.
I purchased these on sale at ShopRite when they were out of the Cherubs (my usual go-to for grape tomatoes). I believe they were on sale for $2.99, as I wouldn’t pay more than that for these. Currently, they are priced at $5.99 for a 12-ounce package, but I believe they were cheaper when I purchased them a few weeks ago.
