A burger fit for Royale-ty! 👑 🍔 The “Vegan Royale” came out this week in the UK with the trusty Vegan trademark, (i’m sure @nenehjbee you’ll know all about this) meaning that Burger King meets strict cross-contamination guidelines during its preparation process. Their fries are now also certified vegan (to be reviewed separately). The “chicken” fillet is made by “The Vegetarian Butcher” company and it tasted great, especially for a fast food burger! As I munched on this at home, I added more vegan mayo to make it even more indulgent 🤤 I’d probably say that it’s very similar to the KFC vegan burger in both taste and texture. It’s not something i’d eat regularly but it’s wonderful to support restaurants who are moving in the green direction! ➡️ 🌱 Plus the Royale itself is only £1.99 on their “Meat-Free Mondays”😎💚
One thing to note is that their new “Plant-based Whopper” is NOT Vegan as that is cooked on the same grill as their meat whopper (as they’ve noted in the small print of their advertising), so definitely just stick to the Vegan Royale! 😅 #abillionturns3#abillionlove#veganroyale#burgerking#veganburger#feature

rikesh Yeah so from what i’ve been reading, they cook the Royale completely separately as they need to fulfil a lot of criteria in order to get the vegan trademark. Their “Plant based whopper” however is cooked on the same surface which they put in the small print, hence the whopper can’t have the vegan trademark on it. clare-cooling Aaaahh, I didn't realise it had the vegan trademark 🙄 don't get me wrong it's fantastic that these companies are pulling vegan options into their menu's, but I am just not really all that trustworthy of companies jumping on the bandwagon just for profit. It does bother me a new little on all cooking utensils and surfaces etc when you can't actually see it for yourself 😳 even down to staff changing gloves when they've been handling non vegan products - it really wierds me out these days 😅1 likeReply

Here in some Burger King locations they do have the “vegetal burger” but as you said is fried and mixed with all the other patties - one day the hubby that is more in the flexitarian way wanted to try it. He said was good but I did not want to try the patty was too real and also because I read about is made of plants but not vegan 😣 so no thanks 1 likeReply
