Review of Matza/Matzos - Yehuda Matzos by hbchic
I have been so busy between cleaning for Passover and life, and now today is the final day of Passover and matza will not be something I will be eating every day until next Passover. Some Jewish people are not big fans of matza but there's so much you can do with this plain crisp unleavened product. Especially making matza brittle is a delight!
Pictured here is my homemade matza brittle with vegan dark chocolate and chopped almonds on one side and homemade vegan caramel on the other side.

lucyfoxx Wait... there are other Jews who don't like matzo?! I've never met one lol. My brother and I used to look forward to the high holidays because we knew there would be matzo for days (and of course other classic Jewish favorites). My parents and grandparents always bought the egg matzo, which I miss the texture of, but the eggless ones are still great. Yout matzo brittle looks amazing! Reminds me of the chocolate covered dessert matzos, but even better!2 likesReply
hbchic Thanks. Yeah. You know - all those differing opinions! Lol I think most Jews who don't care for matza just need to drink more water. That's fun to hear about those memories. It was indeed delish. Can't deny it. I got to eat more of it since my husband was working most days of Pesach. I also made vegan matza balls which turned out nice and not dense. This was my favourite part though I gotta admit. 😊 It would be cool of someone made the vegan version of egg matza and commercialized it. I already make my own vegan challah and it's really tasty. It's fun to get creative with vegan food.1 likeReply
