Review of Frozen Cheese And Onion Bake - Greggs by jessskh

This is part of Greggs’ releases of vegan frozen food for Veganuary 2021.
I don’t usually like cheese and onion anything but was hyped up on Veganuary that I bought it anyway (gotta keep the demand up!)
Since I had low expectations of my enjoyment, I actually enjoyed it more that I had expected. The pastry is nice and thick, it really looks great out of the packet. The flavour of the cheese inside is similar to the flavour in the vegetable bake, which I liked. It wasn’t too cheesy or too onion-y for me which is usually my issue with cheese and onion lol.

I would get this again if not for the plastic trays that seem to come with all of these Gregg products. The tray is unnecessarily made of plastic and even though they claim it’s recyclable, it’s black and some recycling centres that use infrared technology to sort out plastic can’t recognise black plastic.
If they switch to a paper tray, then I’ll consider buying it again:)
