One of the biggest hits of Open Barn Day at @sunrisesanctuary was Finding Impact. Not only did the kids love it, but people were purchasing as gifts for the children in their family. It really makes me realize how big of a deal it is that Sunrise has been chosen as a sanctuary partner. There are so many wonderful and deserving sanctuaries, and to be included is just so incredible. If you have a child in your family, I highly recommend purchasing one of these books. It's beautiful, interactive (think Where's Waldo), and has subtle vegan messaging and information about the plight of farmed animals, in a gentle way.
We have some really exciting things coming up this fall and expanding education for children. We were so inspired by @lotuskay and her books, and we are really excited to work with her and to start bringing more vegan education programs to kids who visit our sanctuary. ( Thank you, @vikas, for this connection. Once again, I can never thank you enough)
We, of course, had wifi issues yesterday, perks of being out in the country. (Some days it's great and some days it's horrible), but I was able to have so many great conversations about abillion yesterday. Of course, nobody could download the app, 😅 but many fliers were handed out, and conversations had. ➡️ For other sanctuaries who might see this post, we are doing a single raffle over the next month at two different events, next will be an all vegan popup market (w/ much better wifi ) In exchange for a signup using our code, attendees get a ticket to enter the raffle where we're giving Sunrise merchandise an abillion tee and vegan cookbook that best suits new vegans and helps make plant based cooking easy. This might be a great way to get your community involved, too.😊 you can even offer double ticket entry if they submit a review!
