Review of Chocolate Ice Cream and Sorbets at Gelateria Artigianale dal 1988. Famiglia Peschiera. by madeline39
Welcome ice cream on a blistering hot day in Sirmione. I chose chocolate ice cream - which was excellent and rich, with a few grainy bits, and melon ice cream/sorbet.
I chose the smallest tub available. The server also added a spoon of the vegan orange flavour sorbet on top - which was actually nicer than the melon that I chose. If I revisited I’d have chocolate and orange for sure (but I’d check the price first)
The server pointed out all the options that were clearly vegan, all fruit sorbets I believe, apart from the chocolate.
My husband chose raspberry, again this was more like a sorbet, he opted for a cone. They were both tasty and refreshing but were dripping badly (down my dress!) as we tried to quickly take a photograph.
The two came in at 13€ which felt pricey but the portions were huge - too large in fact for me to finish, so a smaller offering would be welcome. With hindsight maybe we should have shared one tub with two flavours!
