VEGAN

The Brooklyn Creamery

#icecream therapy part 2. 🍦Tasted good!

Vanilla ice cream sans #murdairy is hard to find. This does have coconut milk powder, but it's far better here than in their chocolate offerings. Great consistency, as always.
Melts very quickly, and mysteriously disappears in under 2 minutes.

Wasn't expecting the tiny #deathbyplastic spoon, nor their enthusiasm to go #dairyfree.🐄 Since they seem to be watching How I Met Your Mother, I'd urge them to watch The Handmaid's Tale and make the connection. Has anyone else?🐮🤰🏻🤱🏽
Done with them until they do and #ditchdairy. #cowmilkisforcalves

lol1409 If it's any consolation, the culprits are eating more delicious vegan food.3 likesReply

shmoopsify Handmaids Tale is unfortunately possibly something that could happen! I’m reading Count Down by Shanna Swan. What an eye opener about plastics etc. and fertility rates.1 likeReply
lol1409 Eerie! The only show/book that creeped me out a little— mainly because we already seem to live in that world. It truly bothers people (for good reason), but nobody sees how that is basically the dairy industry?! Massive human rights issue as well, obviously. I'll have to look up the other book. Margaret Atwood knows how to deliver a story. 2 likesReply
shmoopsify Yes, she does! She has a trilogy that my husband read that is also dystopian, Oryx and Crake.1 likeReply
lol1409 I looked that up. I are interesting GR reviews. "Having read "Oryx and Crake" and "The Handmaid's Tale," I am curious now how many other ways of horrifying me she has up her sleeve." "Sometimes I'm torn between wishing I could get a glimpse inside Atwood's mind and thinking that might be absolutely terrifying". And now I want to read it, even if it's more nightmare fuel. Still better than outreach conversations. I'm glad we have books, at the very least. 1 likeReply
