Review of Organic Acorn Squash - Chicural by aqualing
Here’s an acorn squash I got in springtime and forgotten. Now fully ripe, completely orange 😱🎃 and really easy to slice🔪😃 Given time, even the thick skinned knuckleheads will blush (///▽///) I shall remember the “trick” next winter.
Under their (usually) tough skin, they have a tender core that’s rich in antioxidants, #vitmainC, #vitaminA and beta-carotene👁 They’re also a good source of certain #bvitamins and minerals.
Low in sugar and high in fiber, they taste mildly nutty and are versatile for both sweet and savory dishes; although I find the simplest way of preparing them, i.e. roasting, is also the best.
💡Don’t throw away the seeds! They make toasty and crunchy snacks that are packed with nutrients as well😋
