Review of Hokkien Mee at Zhenyi Veggie Place by r3ddrag0n
This is $4. Looking at the picture you can easily tell what’s the main problem of this dish. It is so soupy, why is there so much stock when Hokkien mee is supposed to be dry. Already knew we were going to be disappointed when we saw the dish. Taste-wise, it’s a little below average as compared to your typical vegetarian Hawker centre Hokkien mee taste. I feel like it could be with a little more vegetables and tau pok, maybe even some mushroom because it just looks so plain and blend. And also a little more salt. The only positive was the environment and the service, people there were friendly and it was a quiet air conditioned spot to just chill and talk. I read the reviews of this place and it was quite good, not sure why the standard was so Low, maybe it’s because we caught them on a wrong day or time(I went in the morning around 10-11am). This dish really needs more improving.
