Raw Cacao & Hazelnut Date Truffles

These are delicious, not too sweet. #raw is best. #veganisnotscary 

Oh my word. These are the most delicious truffles I’ve ever had. They are so rich and luxurious and so healthy. Raw and vegan never tasted so good.

So the blurb on the side of the box reads: ‘a decadent vegan treat made with whole hazelnut truffles rolled in crushed hazelnuts’ ... with that, I was already drooling but I was prepared to be disappointed, as I tend to be by raw/healthy treats.

Well, what do you know, I was pleasantly surprised to find the contents matched their description!

The best thing for me is that they do not have that sickly sweet taste that often comes with dates. There is a subtle sweetness to them that satisfied my sweet craving without feeling like I’d overdone it. A decadent vegan treat, indeed.
