This is my most frequently purchased tofu. It’s a huge block, so it feels like a good value! I always freeze, thaw & press tofu prior to marinating & cooking; this removes moisture to make it more meaty, and also helps it to absorb more of your marinade.
It’s quite firm - probably one of the firmest available in Australia (my area at least), so equivalent to “extra firm” or “high protein” varieties mentioned in recipes based overseas.

This is the tofu we buy the most. We have tried dozens of different marinated options and they are mostly good. Just a few fails, but that's the idea, to experiment and have fun in the kitchen.

An affordable extra firm tofu. Aud$4.8 for 650g. This block of tofu is huge! An absolutely stable! I found this at the Asian section at Woolworths. Probably available at other Asian supermarkets too. However, I still prefer Cole’s firm tofu. It’s somehow so much heartier. #veganisnotscary
