I made vegan cheese fondue with this nutritional yeast the other day 🧀 🫕  These are organic and made in Germany from molasses yeast, rice flour 🌾 and sea salt. #organic
This time I’ll post the recipe here directly ha:
3/4 cup white wine 🍷
3/4 cup nutritional yeast (more for taste)
1/2 cup vegetable broth
3/4 cup unsweetend almond or soy milk 🥛
1 tablespoon white miso paste
1 clove of garlic, minced 🧄
1-2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon tahini
1 pinch pepper
1 pinch salt
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch turmeric for color
4 tablespoons flour

Stir everything but the flour together and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir in flour and wait until it thickens. Too thick? Add plant milk 🥛 Too thin? Add flour!
It’s best to transfer the mixture to a real fondue pot 🫕 - a so-called caquelon, as it keeps the cheese sauce hot. (Of course you can also eat it straight from the pot you cooked it in but you might have to be quick lol) #veganuary

Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed. I only checked the ingredients after I already bought it. Alnatura mixed 30% riceflour into the yeast. So basically it doesn't have that typical "cheese-like" umami flavour, It's rather bland. AND: it's way more expensive than other nutritional yeast brands. I paid roughly 3,70€... Bummer. #greyton

The product is good and bio. I find it very convenient to buy at a bigger supermarket, I struggled to find the yeast and I am happy is so easily available at alnatura. I discovered it during veganuary. I use it on top of the pasta and the taste is not covering the other ingredients
