It is estimated that 4-5% of China’s population identifies as #vegetarian or #vegan. This translates to anywhere from 56 to 70 million people. Grassroots offers the perfect cheese for this growing community and beyond.

The country’s first and only 100% non-dairy creamery was founded in Beijing back in 2021 by visionary brothers Will and Henry Kerins alongside Dandan Yang and Emory Babb. Grassroots is reimagining #dairy with local ingenuity, using rice, soy, and potato as the base for their mouthwatering cheeses and sauces.

From Beijing to Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, their cheeses are winning hearts in some of China’s top restaurants. Their expansion into iconic locations like Great Leap Brewery is proof of the growing demand for high-quality, locally-produced vegan products.

We can't wait to see more brands follow the rising tide of conscious consumption in China 👏.
