This is the VGML (Vegetarian/Vegan Meal). MH has done away with a separate vegetarian option,

so if you don't want meat you now have to go the whole hog. Well, without the hog, but you get my drift 😏

Honestly I don't know what they're doing serving "full" meals on a 2-hour sector with a 3pm departure; I would much rather they just switched to a buy-onboard system and helped spare us the biennial taxpayer-funded bailout 😒 Not like it was even any good. The most uninspired and tasteless pile of nonsense that I've eaten in a long time 😞 #nearlyorderedapcrtest, but then I remembered that I'd get one on arrival anyway 🥺

has done so before me, hence the entry 😳 Was it you, @stevenneoh?? Anyhow, you can get this by ordering you meal ahead of time under the code VGML, short for vegan/vegetarian meal; not to be mistaken by their numerous other vegetarian meals such as their VOML (oriental vegetarian) or AVML (Hindu meal, with dairy) 😬 Frankly? The oriental meal, also vegan, that I had on my flight to Kuching was waaayy better 👌 I get that these meals are on rotation and aren’t necessarily fixed but this ain’t it 🤥 The greens were so overcooked they tasted spoilt 🔧 Though ngl the very possibility of having vegan food in a plane is awesome 👏 #veganisnotscary

The airline doesn't have a vegan meal category but I was heartened to see that

this seemed to be labeled as vegan. I am putting "supper" because a meal at 1am 🤣 The other meal I got was super dodgy.. yoghurt, butter, mystery bread roll, semolina and sambal which *might* have been vegan, and a plastic container of fruit.. Malaysia Airlines is lucky my photos didn't turn out or I'd be rating that a 0 out of 5!

Worst worst worst service ever! if they cant understand what vegan food means why do

they add that option 🙄 I was served “vegetarian” meal with chicken/meat pieces and the thing is I called Malaysia airlines so many times before to confirm whether they added my vegan meal or not... this is so bad. please write to airlines and complain because until and unless we dont, they wont give a shit. And its not just animal cruelty but food waste too. So unsustainable
