Long are the days where you have to boil gingko nuts and take out the shells and cores just to make Orh Nee! This is my dad and I’s all-time favourite #Teochew dessert and this is the first time I’m making it for Chinese New Year and it’s so easy as long as you’ve a steamer!🧧 Gingko nuts don’t really taste like nuts and have a bland but subtle bitterness that I like and in this dish you’re garnishing it on top of sweet yam paste surrounded by coconut cream altogether creating a lovely balance #abillionlove
