Plant-Based Calamari

Air-fried these without additional oil and they fried up into glorious crunchy, golden rings ☀️💍

The konjac ‘calamari’ inside is denser than what I’ve tried before, giving it a better texture / bite :D #calamari #deepfried

It just tastes like real calamari. Absolutely easy to cook n taste is great!

in the #airfryer at 175°c is definitely insufficient to give these a golden & crispy brown 🦑 Any more however will render it chewy — and not even the loveable galatic bear kind 🧸 The taste however is superb. Even my omni housemates liked it! I just don’t think the #batter is all that great 🤷‍♀️ Surely it shouldn’t be this hard to work with.. 🤨 After two tries, giving it the benefit of the doubt, I’m done ✌️
